The world’s first virtual store was put in place in Seoul’s subway by Tesco’s local firm called Homeplus.

Fold-away fashion stores, paper buildings, and temporary cafés. Pop-up shops became a novel idea to expand your brand, but now it seems that semi-permanence is ironically here to stay! Samsung celebrated the launch of their new flagship smartphone model Galaxy S III with the introduction of the Samsung Mobile Pin retail experience.

A super cool shopping experience on the go – Tesco Homeplus opened a virtual grocery store in a South Korean subway station, where users shop by scanning QR-codes on their smartphones. A large billboard was installed in the station resembling the supermarket shelves. Users scan the code of the products they would like to purchase and after payment the products are delivered to their home address.
